| Right. Whatever your opinion about Myspace it does seem to have some benefit for young bands. So, we have duly succumbed to it's dubious charms (but not to the many messages we seem to receive from Anna - '19 and looking for a good time' - we were unaware that Fireworks Night attracted such an audience). Annoying spam aside, you can now go to the site and if you search for any of our bands in the music section you will find them and you can, if you want, befriend them. Hurrah.
Also, we have teamed up with the excellent site www.karmadownload.com to make our releases available to buy online. At the moment the only one available is Fireworks Night's 'It's A Wide, Wide Sea' but as time goes by more and more of our records will become available in this format. Again, just visit the site and search for the band name.
We here at Organ Grinder are big fans of the do-it-yourself ethic and what could be more so than filming your own footage of yourselves driving to your own practice, in your own van, set to your own song and shot in a town which (one day, if things go right) you will own? Oh Yes. Pontiak have done just this and the results have turned out rather well with shots of Baltimore on a winter's day making a fitting accompaniment to their excellent new instrumental track 'Cave Hanging'. Watch Cave Hanging
Last but certainly not least... Organ Grinder has finalised all the details for it first club night which will be taking place at The Luminaire in Kilburn on Saturday 25th February. It promises to be a huge amount of fun. The Mules and Fireworks Night will play along with the excellent Mr. Johnny Flynn (www.myspace.com/johnnyflynn). We will post all the details in these very pages soon. |
